These tea bags come in a beautiful big box, nicely placed but the color of the tea is nowhere as shown in the picture.
This is Guava leaf tea and not Guava fruit tea so do not expect it to taste like Guava. It has the flavor of leaves which you will have to develop the taste for. I did not like the taste at first but after having it regularly, I have somewhat got used to it.
I have been eating guava since I was kid. I remember my mom used to make loads of jellies and jams in huge ceramic jars and store them for winter.
Why I mention the fruit is because including the fruit, leaf, bark or roots of the guava tree has antioxidant, anti-allergy, anti-microbial, cardio active, anti-cough, anti-diabetic, anti-inflammatory and many other benefits.
This leaf tea is recommended for people who have high blood glucose. It is believed that if you have Guava Leaf Tea with every meal it benefits pre-diabetic and diabetic patients. It is also beneficial in treating diarrhea, lowering cholesterol, heart, circulatory system and preventing diabetes.
